The regular meeting of the CanDo Board of Directors was called to order at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at the First Christian Church at 685 Marion Street NE, Salem.
David Dahle was in the chair and Michael Livingston acted as secretary.
The agenda and the minutes of the July meeting were approved unanimously.
Officer Vanmeter reported on enforcement in Marion Square Park, and the need for stable housing for unsheltered Salem residents with serious mental illness or substance abuse problems.
In “interested citizen” comments, Kenneth Hetzel spoke about his hope to involve neighborhood associations in removing English ivy and protecting the streams in their areas.
The board then heard a presentation by Skye Hibbard-Swanson on Just Walk Salem: How to Find Your Walking Group.
There being no other business before the board, the meeting of the Board of Directors adjourned at 7:05 p.m.
