The
regular meeting of CANDO was called to order at 6 p.m., on Wednesday,
August 20, 2024. The meeting was conducted by Zoom video-conference.
The Chair and Secretary-Treasurer were present.
The agenda and minutes of the July meeting were approved unanimously.
Councilors
Stapleton and Nishioka reported on Monday’s night's work session on the
City’s budget deficit/revenue options and on recent council activities.
In
public comments, Rosa gave a favorable report on the Stream Cleaning
Project whose members recently removed copious amounts of refuse from
Mill Creek. (See Statesman Journal photos here.) The chair reminded the
board of the upcoming annual meeting in October and announced that he
and the secretary-treasurer, whose terms expire in October, would be
retiring. There will be a work session at the end of the September
meeting to discuss the transition.
There being no further business before the board, the Chair adjourned the meeting at 6:29.
