On October 17th, the Mid-Willamette Council of Governments authorized Executive Director Sean O'Day to sign an intergovernmental agreement with Salem, Keizer, Monmouth, Independence and Marion County to establish a Homeless Program Coordinator position within COG. Salary and benefits are to be paid by the cities and County. Salem and Marion County will put up $45K each, with the remainder cities each putting up $5K. The Scope of Work includes "Conduct analysis of pros and cons of local Continuum of Care options, and if favorable, develop implementation plan." In January 2019, the IGA was amended to extend it to June 30, 2020, see here.
